PERTH AIRPORT
Perth Airport can be easily
accessed by road and rail. Train
services operate to and from
Airport Central Station (Forrest昀椀eldAirport line), and regular Transperth
bus services also operate between
Perth Airport and Perth City.
A Perth Airport Terminal Transfer
Bus transfers passengers between
T1/T2 and T3/T4 for free, as the
terminals are located on opposite
sides of the airport estate. Car
hire is available from Perth Airport
and there are dedicated areas for
rideshare and passenger pick-up
and drop-off by private transport.
TAXIS AND RIDESHARE
Taxis are generally plentiful
in Perth and can be found at
dedicated ranks throughout the
CBD, major shopping centres,
nightspots, and from both domestic
and international airport terminals.
Uber and Didi are readily available.
BUSES
An extensive bus network serves
as a key public transport option for
Perth. The Perth City Underground
Bus Port, situated in the heart of the
Perth City, functions as the main
hub for bus services across the
Perth Metropolitan area.
FREE CAT BUS
Perth and Joondalup are served
by an ef昀椀cient public transport

system along with a free shuttle
service called The Central Area
Transit (CAT). In Perth City, the
CAT buses operate on 昀椀ve routes,
offering free transport around the
city centre and to Leederville.

AND CAR HIRE
Transperth operates a ferry
service between Elizabeth Quay
and Mends Street in South Perth.
The main commuter ferry terminal
is located at Barrack Street Jetty in
the CBD. Other ferry services from
here include travel to and from
Fremantle and Rottnest Island. It’s
also the departure point for wine
cruises to the Swan Valley.
Several private car and coach
companies with both small and
large vehicles operate in the city
and surrounding areas. These
services are perfect for transfer
to and from the airport, transfer
to events or for local and regional
tours. Perth Luxury Tours specialises
in premium private tours from Perth
and offer tours around the regional
area. Aries Car Rental and H2O Car
Rentals also offer private tours and
car rentals. Limousines Australia
offer a premium way to travel
with luxury vehicles and trained
chauffeurs.
TRAINS
WALKING AND CYCLING
There are three main train
stations in the Perth CBD area –
Perth Central, Perth Underground
and Elizabeth Quay stations. These
link Perth’s surrounding suburbs
at Claremont, Subiaco, Fremantle,
Butler, Mandurah, Midland,
Armadale, as well as Perth Airport.
You can travel up north to Yanchep
and across to Whiteman Park in the
Swan Valley.
Perth has a comprehensive
network of cycle and dual-use
paths in the central city and
beyond. One of the most popular
routes for leisure cyclists and
walkers is a circuit around the
Swan River at the doorstep of
the city. Riverside routes are
clearly signposted. There are also
pathways along much of the
coastline. Bike hire is available in the
city area through About Bike Hire.
