VICTORIA PLAINS
Around a two-hour drive
northeast of Perth, Victoria Plains
is a tranquil escape where nature
and history meet. In spring
and early summer, wild昀氀owers
blanket the landscape in vibrant
colours, drawing day trippers and
photographers alike. Pack a picnic
or stop in at the century-old Bolgart
Hotel, where locals maintain
the charm of this 108-year-old
Wheatbelt pub.

Walkers and bird enthusiasts
will enjoy Gillingarra’s trails.
The Bush Explorer Walk winds
through wild昀氀ower-rich reserves,

As night falls, Victoria Plains

GINGIN
About an hour from Perth,
Gingin is a heritage town bridging
the northern country towns and the
coast. Its historic streetscapes are
best explored via the walking trail,
which passes landmarks
such as the 1903 Gingin Hotel,
St Luke’s Anglican Church, Bell
Tower, and St Catherine’s Catholic
Church. Maps are available from
the local Visitor Centre.
Granville Park, framed by
heritage buildings and Gingin
Brook, is a town hub. Stop for
coffee or a meal at Cu@Park
Café, enjoy a round of mini-golf
at Caladenia Mini Golf Park and
Café, or sample farm-fresh gelato
at Local Goat, renowned for goat’s
milk cheeses and yoghurt. For a
unique experience, visit the Gravity
Discovery Centre and Observatory.
Explore the museum, walk bush
trails, climb the Tower of Gingin,
and 昀椀nish the day stargazing with
astronomers and Indigenous elders
sharing Dreamtime stories.
SEABIRD
A quiet 昀椀shing village turned
holiday spot, Seabird has kept
much of its original charm. Spend
the day wandering sandy beaches,
