Just south of Fremantle,

attractions. Coogee Beach,

4km of white sand and turquoise

barrier and summer pontoons.
Coogee Beach Reserve hosts

nearby Woodman Point Regional
Park, C. Y. O’Connor Beach, and

trails at Manning Park, Mt Brown,
and Henderson Cliffs, while culture
enthusiasts can follow the Nyungar
Tourist Trail at Port Coogee or the
Cockburn Drive Thru Art Gallery,
featuring over 30 striking public
artworks located around the area.
Still sitting within the Perth
metropolitan area, yet surrounded
by natural bushland, wetlands,
and open spaces, is Kwinana.
With a vibrant trails network, visitors
can explore diverse landscapes
while connecting with both nature
and heritage.
The Kwinana Loop Trail, a 21km
circuit around the city, showcases
the region’s natural beauty,
linking highlights such as Chalk
Hill, the Wild昀氀ower Reserve, Sloans
Reserve, Leda Nature Reserve, and
the historic Tramway Trail. Other
notable walks include the Lake
Magenup Trail in Wandi, which
connects to Jandakot Regional
Park and offers interpretive signage
about local culture and wildlife,
and the Homestead Ridge Mosaic
Trail, adorned with bird-themed
mosaics and 昀氀ourishing wild昀氀owers
in spring.
Kwinana is also rich in history,
with heritage sites such as Smirk’s
Cottage and the Medina Historic
Townsite, while The Spectacles, part
of Beeliar Regional Park, has 360
hectares of wetlands and bush.
There are two walk trails here where
you can observe the abundant
birdlife and visit signi昀椀cant Whadjuk
Noongar cultural sites.
With its unique combination of
trails, nature, and heritage, Kwinana
